How to describe the Blended Mobility week in one word? Amazing!

During the week between 20th and 27th of January 2019 the team CHEDTEB and almost 20 students from Fachhochschule Bielefeld, Brno University of Technology and University of Tartu gathered in Tartu (Estonia) to learn and cooperate together on many amazing workshops, student team pitches and more! As a reward, we all participated in the biggest startup festival in the Baltics - sTARTUp Day 2019! Take a look at a short summary of the activities we did every day!

 Sunday 20th of January

The Sunday arrival to Tartu in Estonia was a tough one, beginning with leave from Brno, Czech Republic at 2:30 AM to Vienna Airport and ending with catching a train in Tallinn in the last minute at 5:45 PM! Thankfully we have arrived just in time to prepare for the upcoming week!

Monday 21st of January

We kicked off the week early in front of the University of Tartu, where the students from all 3 universities finally had an opportunity to meet each other. One interesting fact, some students worked together in the last 3 months of 2018 on a startup project without seeing each other in person! During the day the students then attended two workshops and brainstormed together about many ideas.

Tuesday 22nd of January

On Tuesday the students continued with another chain of workshops, for example how to perform in business or how to release the creative potential! Meanwhile, the CHEDTEB team worked hard on preparations for the sTARTUp Day 2019.

Wednesday 23rd of January

Wednesday was a very productive day! It was a Digi Heroes Conference day with open space discussions and student teams pitches! The day started with a presentation of the toolbox for digital corporate transformation management, later followed by the open space about impact assessment of Big Data analysis and application cases/ Guide to implementing Blockchain and Smart Contract Technologies, practiced on a provided company case! After that, the pitches of the student teams took place! 8 teams in total presented their innovative startup ideas and received very informative and critical feedback from many present experts, who were directly assessing the pitches!

Lastly, the participants of the Digi Heroes Conference were introduced to the Digital transformation of universities’ internationalization process /Curriculum of a Master`s degree in Digital Transformation, which is a primary goal of the whole CHEDTEB project! The proposal of the curriculum received positive and constructive feedback from the students and other participants, which further strengthens the assertion, that this future joint master's programme will be very well welcomed!

Thursday 24th of January

sTARTUp Day 2019! This was another crucial day for us! The CHEDTEB team was present at the business festival with their own stand, just in front of the entrance to the biggest stage! Our mission on that day was to help the festival attendees with decision making on the digital transformation with our interactive poster game. The attendees assessed their opportunities and obstacles in digitalization! Additionally, the CHEDTEB team published completely new content concerning the toolbox for digital corporate transformation management, which you can access here

The students meanwhile had the chance to see many known entrepreneurs from all around the globe to speak, as well as to see on their own dozens of already developed startup ideas!

Saturday 26th of January

The feedback day! Our students gathered for the final session and to reflect on the Blended Mobility week! Finally, they all received a certification as a reward for their amazing effort and diligence during the week, including 3 bonus ECTS credits!

Summarizing up the whole week, we would like to thank everyone for participating, presenting their innovative ideas and creating new friendships, memories and experience! We hope to see you soon at another event!
